I have a small collection of vintage keys most of them are quite rusty and for a while I have been thinking of an idea to use them in. I loved the thought of attaching bits and pieces to the keys like memories caught in time - a picture, a feather, a piece of lace, a glass vial...........

Childhood - Mixed media block canvas

I loved creating this canvas it was so much fun working with bees wax melted & applied in thin layers so you still get the underlying image coming through.

I added a piece of vintage lace, a selection of buttons, small aged tags and an old saftey pin.

I was really pleased when I sold this canvas on Etsy at the beginning of this week!
